David D Beam (1941-2015)

We were saddened to hear the news that David Beam passed away on June 29, 2015.

Born on the grounds of the Jim Beam Distilling co, and the last Beam distiller to work at the company, David was a friend and teacher to us here at Tom's Foolery. Through him, we got to meet and work with his fine sons, Bill, Troy and John Ed.  We further had the pleasure of getting to know Bills wife, Marsha, and kids, Emily and Ben. 

David taught us how to make Bourbon, fix a mash pump and clean cypress fermenter tubs. All while telling tales from back in the day at the Beam distillery.  Our lives are richer for having known him.  David and his family are an awesome part of the Tom's Foolery adventure.

Rest In Peace, David, and many prayers and hugs to your family.
